is run along the lines established by Dr Madan Kataria, who founded the global laughter movement 13 years ago with one club, and there are now over 6,000 clubs worldwide.

 is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, run by a volunteer committee of management.  Laughter Clubs Victoria Inc was founded in 2002 when Laughter Yoga Teacher Phillipa Challis encouraged four other like minded laughter lovers to form the first committee of management and begin the Laughter Clubs Victoria Inc journey.

The 30 community clubs spread throughout Melbourne and around Victoria are for people of all ages and walks of life who want to have fun and laugh in a group, so there is no charge to the public.

Trained Laughter Yoga Leaders run the community clubs, and we all give our time to share laughter with people who want to laugh for no reason and gain the health benefits of laughter.

There are also a number of trained leaders who take laughter into their workplaces.  Laughter Clubs Victoria present authorised Laughter Yoga Leader Training workshops regularly, and they are open to anybody who would like to have more laughter in their lives.

The clubs listed on our website are led by trained Laughter Yoga Leaders and as required by shires and councils in Victoria, Laughter Clubs Victoria holds Public Liability insurance.

We all know how to laugh and when you join in a community  laughter club session you will be laughing out loud right from the first time!  Our body knows how to laugh - it's about enjoying the activity and allowing the laughter to flow.
